Chattanooga FC (1-0-1D, 1SOW, 5 pts - 2nd in East, 1st in Southeast Division) faces NYCFC II (0-1-0D, 0 pts - 13th in East , 6th in Northeast Division) in the club's first-ever away match as an MLS NEXT Pro club on Wednesday, March 27th at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Chattanooga Football Club has enjoyed a strong start to its inaugural campaign in MLS NEXT Pro, and the club now looks to bring the momentum gained from two positive home matches into a tough road test against NYCFC II in the clubs' only meeting of the regular season.
The Boys in Blue face an NYCFC II side that is coming off an impressive 3-0 win over FC Motown in the U.S. Open Cup first round. NYCFC II has only played one match in MLS NEXT Pro so far—a 3-2 defeat to Inter Miami II in the opening matchweek.
Sporting Director and Head Coach Rod Underwood recently spoke about the level of play the team has experienced early on in its MLS NEXT Pro journey.
“You always want to push yourself against the highest level,” said Underwood. “We've seen that early in the season—and I imagine us going on the road to New York we will probably see something very similar.
"The league is tough. The league has a lot of parity, and we expect it to be a very difficult match."

NYCFC II's roster is made up with players entirely from the Tri-State area. Players to watch include forward Jonathan 'JJ' Jimenez, captain Taylor Calheira and youngster Maximo Carrizo, the youngest player to sign a first-team contract in MLS history.
