CHATTANOOGA FC'S COACHING STAFF RECENTLY RETURNED FROM THEIR FIRST MLS COLLEGE SHOWCASE AS AN MLS NEXT PRO CLUB.
The off-season at Chattanooga Football Club has been anything but dormant.
Since the conclusion of the 2023 men's season, the club announced it will be joining MLS NEXT Pro starting in 2024, year-end roster decisions, participation in Huntsville City's Blastoff Battle preseason tournament, a new head coach for Chattanooga FC Women, dates for open tryouts for the men's team and women's team and, most recently, a multi-year partnership with adidas.
Head coach and Sporting Director Rod Underwood and his coaching staff have been busy scouting and making progress on 2024 roster construction as well.
The entire coaching staff recently travelled to Phoenix, Arizona for the MLS College Showcase 2023, a closed-door scouting event that featured 44 top college players.
"Our first experience at the college showcase was a good opportunity for the club to see top level talent," said Head Coach and Sporting Director Rod Underwood.
"Also the showcase presented opportunities to connect with teams in the league. We were welcomed by the teams, which made us feel included. The event overall was multifaceted for us, and we achieved the things we set out to achieve at the showcase."
Underwood and his staff are continuing to travel the country to ensure CFC start on the strongest foot possible in the club's MLS NEXT Pro debut season.
Fans are encouraged to explore the club's diverse offering of 2024 season ticket options ahead of a monumental season.
