The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga defender returns to represent the Sky Blues in 2025!
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (March 6, 2025) — Chattanooga Football Club (CFC) today announced it has signed defender Abbey Marak for the 2025 Chattanooga FC Women's WPSL season, pending federation and league approval.
"We are excited to bring Abbey back!," said Chattanooga FC Women Head Coach Juan Hernandez. "Her commitment to the team and club last year was exceptional. She is an essential player for us and the UTC Women's program, and she will play a key role in securing our backline. It’s always a great compliment to the club when local college players want to play for CFC."
The Nashville native made seven appearances for the UTC Mocs during the 2024 season, a part of the team that advanced to the semifinal round of the Southern Conference Championship.
Marak was a member of the Tennessee Soccer Club ECNL from 2018 to 2022.
"Abbey has proven to be an integral part of CFC Women in the past season," said CFC Women Associate Head Coach Maryn Beutler. "We are looking forward to having her return to bring the pride and commitment that she has for the team and community. We are excited to work with such a talented backline, that will include Abbey Marak."
Marak expressed her excitement upon returning to Chattanooga FC Women.
"I am super excited about what this season is going to bring," said Marak. "I found Chattanooga to be such a warming city. Community is what first got me to love soccer in the first place. I could not be the person I am today without the wonderful support of those around me."
2025 club season tickets, which includes men's and women's matches combined, are on sale now!
Chattanooga FC Women will return in the summer of 2025 with another exciting season of play in the WPSL. Keep up to date with CFCW on Instagram, on X and at chattanoogafc.com.
