Chattanooga FC Women signs the Utah State University defender for the 2025 season!
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 10, 2025) — Chattanooga Football Club (CFC) today announced it has signed defender Rine Yonaha for the 2025 Chattanooga FC Women's WPSL season, pending federation and league approval.
Hailing from Okinawa, Japan, Yonaha made 23 appearances and tallied three goals and seven assists for the Aggies in 2024. She played a pivotal role in the Aggies' consecutive Mountain West Championships in 2023 and 2024 and Utah State's first-ever time hosting an NCAA tournament match.
Additionally, Yonaha earned Academic All-Mountain West honors in 2022, 2023 and 2024 and was named a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete in 2022 and 2023.
Prior to her time with the Aggies, Yonaha won a national championship at Hinomoto Gakeun High School in Hyogo, Japan.
"Rine is a versatile and highly skilled player," said CFC Women Head Coach Juan Hernandez. "Rine’s ability to excel in multiple positions makes her a valuable addition to the squad. She also brings a winning mentality that perfectly aligns with the competitive and growth-focused environment we're building at CFC."

Yonaha expressed her excitement ahead of the 2025 Chattanooga FC Women season.
