Chattanooga Football Club dropped out in the first round of the 2024 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup with a narrow 1-0 defeat by Miami United FC at Finley Stadium on Tuesday night.

Jhon Pajoy scored the winning goal in the 12th minute with a long-range free-kick.

Sporting Director and Head Coach Rod Underwood gave his thoughts after the match in a post-match press conference: "I'll slowly process that one, because you have to step back a bit sometimes to analyze things properly.

"We weren't good enough in the attacking areas.

"After a game like this, we should be motivated for Saturday."
