HUNTSVILLE CITY FC FALLS LATE TO ORLANDO CITY B IN 3-2 THRILLER

(June 6, 2025) – Huntsville City FC returned home to Wicks Family Field for Armed Forces Night on Friday but came up short in a tightly contested 3-2 loss to Orlando City B.

The Boys in Blue opened strong with an early shot on goal from Isaiah Jones and continued to apply pressure, though an offside call stalled momentum midway through the first half. The score remained even at the break.

Orlando City B found the opener in the 48th minute, but Huntsville responded immediately. Christian Koffi buried the equalizer just two minutes later, and Gunnar Studenhofft followed up with a go-ahead goal in the 70th with a corner kick from Alan Carleton to put Huntsville on top.

Orlando answered in the 84th minute, leveling the match again before scoring the game-winner in stoppage time (92’). Goalkeeper Erik Lauta made two saves on the night, but Huntsville couldn’t hold off the late surge.

Huntsville City FC will look to bounce back next week as they hit the road for their next matchup on Wednesday against Atlanta United II.
