The Island FC today announced the hiring of Travis Lamprecht as President of Business Operations, a key leadership addition as the club continues to build toward its professional launch and long-term presence on Long Island. A seasoned executive with experience across multiple levels of the professional game, Travis will lead the club’s commercial and business operations—overseeing revenue strategy, partnerships, and organizational growth—while also helping shape its brand and community presence.

“From the outset, our goal has been to build a club that reflects the energy, identity, and resiliency of Long Island,” said Mitchell Rechler, Principal Owner and Chairman of The Island FC. “Travis brings the experience and leadership needed to help turn that vision into reality. He understands how to build professional soccer clubs the right way, and we are excited to welcome him as an important part of what we are creating here.”

“I’m incredibly excited to join The Island FC at such a pivotal time,” said Travis Lamprecht, President of Business Operations of The Island FC. “To have the opportunity to help build a club here on Long Island, in a community that I connect with, is truly special. What excites me most is the chance to create something lasting and authentic, and I’m proud to help bring that vision to life.”

Travis brings more than a decade of experience across nearly every level of professional soccer, having held leadership roles with clubs including San Diego FC of Major League Soccer, San Diego Loyal SC, Memphis 901 FC, and the United Soccer League. Over the course of his career, he has worked alongside some of the most respected figures in the sport, including U.S. Men’s National Team legends Landon Donovan and Tim Howard, while helping to elevate clubs in markets across the country. A native of Queens, New York, Travis now returns home, bringing his experience in brand development, marketing, community engagement, and business operations to further strengthen The Island FC. His ability to build organizations and connect them to their communities will be an important asset as the club continues to grow.

“Adding Travis to our leadership team is a significant step forward for the club,” said Peter Zaratin, Team President of The Island FC. “He brings a strong understanding of how to build and operate a successful organization, and understands the importance of integrating a strong youth development foundation with the launch of a professional club. His experience and perspective will be critical as we continue to grow and establish The Island FC.”

The Island FC continues to build momentum toward the launch of its MLS NEXT Pro team, alongside an expanding youth platform with clubs based in both Nassau and Suffolk Counties, drawing more than 4,000 registered players for current youth team tryouts across the Island. Together, these efforts reflect the club’s Island‑wide presence and a clear development pathway for local boys and girls with college and professional ambitions.

“Establishing strong, meaningful relationships across Long Island, both within the business community and throughout the broader community, remains a top priority,” added Travis Lamprecht. “There’s a real opportunity for this club to be something people feel connected to, and that starts with being present, collaborative, and engaged while ensuring we reflect and support the community we represent.”
