High Point, NC (November 5, 2026) -
Last season Carolina Core FC’s penalty shootout against Atlanta United 2 went deep into extra rounds. Nolan Anderson ended it with the decisive save, sealing two points for the Foxes. The club is counting on more moments like that in 2027.
Carolina Core FC today announced the re-signing of the 20-year-old goalkeeper for the 2027 season. He gives the Foxes a familiar face between the posts as they build toward the MLS NEXT Pro Sprint Season.
“Having a goalkeeper that can produce key saves is vital for the success of any team, and we know we have that in Nolan,” said Head Coach Jake Davis. “We are excited to bring Nolan back to Carolina Core for 2027- Nolan maximized his time with us and really grew into his role.”
Anderson’s path to High Point has already covered two continents. He came up through the Houston Dynamo and LA Galaxy academies. He then made his professional debut in MLS NEXT Pro with Ventura County FC, formerly LA Galaxy II. From there he moved to Spain with CD Almuñécar City, part of the FC Málaga City Academy system, before joining Carolina Core in 2026. He has also earned call-ups and caps with the U.S. U17 Men’s Youth National Team.
Davis believes the best is still ahead.
“We have an exciting young goalkeeper who we feel has a very high ceiling; we are delighted to continue working with him and seeing his development,” Davis said. “Nolan contributed to some big moments for us last season, and the fans can expect to see more of that in 2027.”
