A three-minute segment of Huntsville City FC's second half against St Louis CITY2 saw Kemy Amiche emerge as a star for the home side. The 22-year-old French midfielder scored twice and added one assist to break a deadlock and bring HCFC its second home win since the opening of Joe Davis Stadium.
Amiche, named Player of the Matchday for Matchday 12, brought his 2023 goal total to four. After coming on as a substitute in the 31st minute, Amiche converted a penalty kick, then started and finished the play that brought HCFC a fourth goal.
Amiche quickly made an impact after coming on as a substitute. He assisted Adem Sipic's milestone goal. Sipic, a Nashville SC academy member, scored his first goal for HCFC in his first start.
CITY2 proved a close match for HCFC in the first half, with HCFC going into the locker room down a goal. Amiche eventually made the difference, bringing his team the lead with a converted penalty kick. Amiche's stutter-step sent the goalkeeper the wrong way as Amiche scored into the left side of the goal.
Finally, Amiche earned HCFC some insurance by scoring the final goal of the game. Amiche dribbled toward the attacking third, passing forward to Joshua Drack, who ran into space on the left flank. Drack passed back inside to Amiche, who finished with a first-time hit.
Amiche is enjoying a successful 2023 season for Huntsville City FC in his first year as a professional. He was acquired by Nashville SC in January 2023 after a four-year college career with Campbell University.
The midfielder from Goussainville, France, previously played in USL League 2 for Asheville City SC. He scored 12 goals and had four assists in 13 appearances for the club, logging 951 minutes on the field.
