Inter Miami II forward Ryan Carmichael has earned the Goal of Matchweek 4 honor after having garnered over 50% of the poll vote for his exceptional strike against Huntsville City FC.
Carmichael's goal took place in the 23rd minute of the match after receiving a pass from teammate Jose Casas de Abadal near the top of the box. After controlling the pass, Carmichael fired a low shot that beat the Huntsville City FC goalkeeper, equalizing the score.
Carmichael's goal sparked a comeback for Inter Miami II, with Bryan Destin scoring his second goal of the season minutes later to put the hosts ahead for good.
Other Goal of Matchweek 3 nominees included Timbers2’s Jaden Jones-Riley, Ventura County FC’s Gino Vivi and Tacoma Defiance’s Chris Aquino.
Up next for Inter Miami II will be a road test against Chattanooga FC on Saturday, April 13 at 5PM ET. You can catch all the MLS NEXT Pro action on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
