North Texas SC midfielder Pedrinho has earned the MLS NEXT Pro Goal of Matchweek 30, adding another highlight to his stellar season.
Other contenders for Goal of the Week included FC Cincinnati 2’s Gerardo Valenzuela, The Town FC’s Beau Leroux, and Orlando City B’s Alexander Freeman.
Pedrinho's goal took place in the 16th minute of North Texas SC's 8-2 victory over MNUFC2.
After an initial shot from Enes Sali hit the post, the ball fell to Pedrinho inside the box. He then maneuvered around multiple MNUFC2 defenders before calmly putting the ball into the goal.
This award wraps up a fantastic season for Pedrinho, who scored 10 goals in his debut season with North Texas SC and helped lead the team to the best regular season record in the league.
As they gear up for the playoffs, Pedrinho and North Texas will aim to keep their strong form going as they compete for the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Cup.
North Texas SC’s playoff journey kicks off on October 20, when they host Whitecaps FC 2 at Choctaw Stadium.
