Chattanooga FC’s Luke Husakiwsky has earned MLS NEXT Pro Goal of Matchweek 27 for his amazing strike against Crown Legacy FC.

The 22-year-old midfielder delivered in the 54th minute with his side trailing 2-0. Looking for a spark, Tate Robertson connected with a streaking Husakiwsky, who unleashed a powerful right-footed shot from outside the box that found the back of the net.

The goal proved to be the turning point in the match, igniting a Chattanooga FC rally that ended in a 4-2 comeback victory.

Other nominees for Goal of the Matchweek included Patrick Weah (Atlanta United 2), Alan Carleton (Huntsville City FC), and Santiago Pita (Atlanta United 2).

Since signing with Chattanooga on August 11, Husakiwsky has quickly made his mark, scoring twice in his first three matches. His first goal was the difference in a win over Huntsville City FC, followed by his highlight finish this past weekend.

A native of Davidson, North Carolina, Husakiwsky played collegiately at the University of North Carolina Charlotte from 2021 to 2024, where he led the 49ers to their first-ever AAC Conference Championship in 2023.

Chattanooga FC will look to clinch a playoff sport this weekend when they face the red-hot Carolina Core FC on Saturday, September 21.
