Sporting KC II defender Lucas Rosa secured his third Goal of the Matchday award this season after earning the most votes for his remarkable free-kick goal against Chicago Fire II on Matchday 26.
Rosa's goal secured 47.4% of the vote, surpassing Houston Dynamo 2 Diego Gonzalez’s goal, which earned 28%.
The University of Pittsburgh alum has continued to have a standout rookie season leading all SKC II players in starts, appearances, and minutes in 2023. Rosa has also contributed 4 goals and 4 assists to Benny Feilhaber’s side.
Although Sporting KC II has already clinched their postseason spot, they will look to continue to climb up the Western Conference standings when they travel to face off against MNUFC2 during Matchday 27 action.
