Signing off from his days with North Texas SC as an MLS NEXT Pro Cup champion, Carl Sainté will always have a place in league history.
The versatile defender and midfielder was a starting centerback in NTSC's famous Cup comeback over Philadelphia Union II and will be hoping to add more one-of-a-kind memories this summer when he represents Haiti in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Le Grenadiers boss Sébastien Migné named his squad on Friday and listed Sainté, 22, as a midfielder in the first Haitian squad to play in a World Cup since 1974. They qualified from Group C in the CONCACAF region and showed real grit while having to play all of their qualifying matches on the road.
