Arriving to the MLS NEXT Pro playoffs for the first time in club history, Atlanta United 2 have league-leading talent to pack a surprise.
ATL UTD 2 coach Jose Silva, who took the helm permanently after an interim stint last season, has proven successful with a 14W-9L-5T record, good for third in the Eastern Conference. The club's first playoff match in its history will be a home tilt against CT United FC (6 PM ET Friday, Oct. 16 | MLSNEXTPro.com, OneFootball).
Season series
Atlanta United 2 will meet CT United again only weeks after winning 4-1 at home in the only regular-season matchup.
Player spotlight
Atlanta United 2 owe a third-place finish in the East to incredible seasons from Arif Kovac and Cameron Dunbar.
Kovac holds the 2026 regular season Golden Boot with 20 goals. Dunbar leads the league in assists with 13 and also led the league in key passes during the regular season with 72.
In addition to those league leaders, fullback Dominik Chong Qui was named this season's Best XI on a strong 3g/3a campaign.
