FC Cincinnati 2's Arquimides Ordóñez led his squad to a 4-2 victory by netting a brace over the reigning Eastern Conference champions, Toronto FC II, at home in a tightly contested match in the closing game of the opening matchday in MLS NEXT Pro.
Last season, Ordóñez started 13 matches and scored four goals for FCC2. He wasted no time to make an impact in the opening game as he also dished out the assist to Jesus Castellano in the 7th minute of the match to give his club the early lead.
Ordóñez's first goal came in the 47th minute, which was the 2-2 equalizer.
His second came in the 81st minute, which helped seal the home team's deal.
For this performance, Arquimides Ordóñez was named MLS NEXT Pro Player of the Matchday. Next for Quimi and FCC2 is a clash vs. Crown Legacy FC in North Carolina this Friday at 7 pm E.T.
