UTC's EG Dillard scores her first goal of the 2026 season
Chattanooga FC fell 4-1 to Decatur FC in WPSL Southeast Conference action at Decatur High School on Tuesday evening.
Decatur FC scored three unanswered goals in the first half. Jazmin Ferguson headed in from a corner in the 10th minute before Dylan Driver doubled the hosts' lead from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute. Substitutes Ava Maldonado and Hayden Barnett connected for an open-play header late in the opening half for the teams to go into the break at 3-0.
CFC responded to the first-half setback and put in a strong second-half performance. In the 51st minute EG Dillard pressed Decatur's backline, stole possession of the ball and finished into the bottom corner to pull one back for the visitors.
CFC keeper Kyleigh Hall made an incredible full-extension save in the 70th minute. However on the resulting corner kick, the hosts regained a three-goal lead with a finish from Aniyah Collier at the top of the penalty area. Hall made another impressive save at her near post in the 81st minute, preventing Maggie Wadsworth from extending Decatur's lead.
Chattanooga FC will conclude its road slate at UFA Gunners on June 27 at 6:00 p.m. ET. CFC will return home to finish out the regular season against Atlanta Fire United on July 1 at 7:00 p.m. ET. Tickets are on sale now.
