(High Point, NC – July 8, 2026) - Carolina Core FC announced the signing of defender Rashid Tetteh, bringing an experienced center back with nearly a decade of professional experience in the United States to the Foxes' back line.
Tetteh began his career collegiately at High Point University, where he developed into one of the program's most decorated defenders. Throughout his 4 years, Tetteh made 69 appearances and 61 starts, earning Big South Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2017, First Team All-Big South recognition in 2017 and 2018, Second Team All-Big South honors in 2016, and Big South All-Freshman Team honors in 2015. He also earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region and NCCSIA All-State honors as a senior.
Following his collegiate career, Tetteh began his professional journey in USL League Two with Carolina Dynamo and Des Moines Menace before signing his first professional contract with New Mexico United in 2019. He spent four seasons with New Mexico United, where he made 83 USL Championship appearances before joining FC Tulsa for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. Across two years with Tulsa, he made 49 league appearances and established himself as a reliable presence in the defensive unit.
He most recently played for Westchester SC during the club's inaugural 2025 USL League One season, appearing in 22 league matches, maintaining a consistent presence for the defense. Throughout his decade-long professional campaign, the Ghanaian center back has made an impressive 177 league appearances across the USL Championship, USL League One, and USL League Two.
Tetteh arrives in High Point bringing veteran experience and leadership as he looks to strengthen Carolina Core FC's back line.
