Carolina Core FC winger Anthony Sumo Jr. has been on a bangers-only policy with his goals so far in 2026. His latest takes the cake for MLS NEXT Pro Goal of Matchweek 9.
Pulling one back in the second half of a tight matchup with Atlanta United 2, Sumo opened the door for some second-half comeback thoughts after fighting through traffic in the ATL UTD 2 box and finding just enough space to fire off a no-doubter from close range.
Sumo earned 44% of the vote for this week's honor, beating out Tacoma Defiance's Cody Baker (44%), Portland Timbers2's Noah Santos (19%) and Orlando City B's Issah Haruna (3%).
