High Point, NC (September 17, 2026) - Carolina Core FC announced today that the club has exercised its option on midfielder Andrew Czech for the 2027 sprint season keeping the University of North Carolina product with the Foxes as the club continues building its roster for 2027.
Czech joined Carolina Core FC in 2026 following a standout four-year career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Since arriving in High Point, the midfielder has brought consistency, work rate and versatility to the group while continuing his transition into the professional game.
Through 10 appearances this season, Czech has made nine starts and logged 657 minutes. He has recorded one goal while completing 73% of his passes.
Known for his ability to impact matches in multiple areas of the field, Czech has provided Carolina Core FC with a reliable presence in midfield throughout the 2026 season. His tactical flexibility, competitive mentality and professionalism have made him an important part of the club’s environment both on and off the field.

Before joining Carolina Core FC, Czech appeared in 62 matches for UNC-Chapel Hill, recording two goals and 12 assists across 5,290 minutes. He helped the Tar Heels reach consecutive NCAA Tournaments, including a run to the quarterfinals, while establishing himself as a dependable presence in midfield.
Prior to his collegiate career, Czech developed with Sockers FC Academy at the U16/17 and U18/19 levels in Illinois before continuing his career in North Carolina.
The option extension keeps Czech with Carolina Core FC as the club prepares for the 2027 MLS NEXT Pro Sprint Season and continues shaping its roster around players who fit both the team’s style of play and long-term direction.
