2025 MLS NEXT Pro Matchweek 4 Power Rankings

MD4 Power Rankings

The ever-changing MLS NEXT Pro power struggle shifted again in Matchweek 4.

The cast of unbeatens remaining in the league shrunk to four as the conference standings begin to tighten up. Colorado Rapids 2 headlined the action as they took down Western Conference leader St Louis CITY2.

In the East, Chattanooga FC won a heavyweight battle with Orlando City B to hand them their first loss of the season.

Let’s take a closer look at how it all impacted the power rankings heading into Matchweek 5.

Well, any thoughts about the fully unbeaten season are put to rest. After a dominant March in which CITY2 went 405 minutes without conceding a goal, the dam finally broke on Sunday.

To be fair, it was a goal that probably goes in against any team in the league and St Louis CITY2 will hold their heads high with their commanding grip on the top spot in the Western Conference still very much intact.

The East still runs through Chattanooga FC after Matchweek 4.

Their 2-0 win over Orlando City B served as a great bounceback to their emotional exit from the U.S. Open Cup earlier in the week.

Going forward, they’ll have a less congested schedule. That should be scary for their Eastern Conference foes, who have yet to figure out a way to beat them.

Leading from the front, Dynamo Dos captain and reigning MLS NEXT Pro Player of the Month Diego Gonzalez was clinical when his side forced LAFC2 into an error.

The win marks the third for Dynamo 2 in 2025 as they head into a BYE holding down second place in the West.

Another week, another thriller from RBNY II.

They’ve produced back-to-back 3-2 wins now. Their latest over Chicago Fire FC II showed them flexing their flair for the finish with Matthew Dos Santos scoring on a direct free kick, as well as Ibrahim Kasule’s Goal of the Matchweek entry with a rip from distance. Not to mention Julian Hall chiming in once again with a goal.

Six goals in two matches? Looks like RBNY II are already in full stride.
