New York Red Bulls II midfielder Ibrahim Kasule has earned the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Goal of Matchweek 4 for his long-range strike against Chicago Fire II.

The goal came in the closing minutes of the match, with Red Bulls II holding a narrow one-goal lead.

Following a Red Bulls II corner, a clearance from a Fire II defender fell to Kasule at the top of the 18-yard box. The Ugandan international controlled the ball with his chest before unleashing a rocket of a shot past the Fire II goalkeeper, extending his side’s lead to 3–1.

Kasule’s goal proved to be crucial, as Chicago Fire II pulled one back in stoppage time with the match ending 3–2 in favor of Red Bulls II.

Other nominees for Goal of Matchweek 4 included Columbus Crew 2’s Tristan Brown, Colorado Rapids 2’s Kimani Stewart-Baynes, and Whitecaps FC 2’s Mateo Clark.

Kasule signed a two-year MLS NEXT Pro contract through the 2026 season this past offseason and recently became New York Red Bulls II’s all-time leading scorer.

Red Bulls II currently sit in second place in the Eastern Conference standings and will travel to face off against FC Cincinnati 2 on April 20th.
