St Louis CITY2 defender Gabriel Mikina has earned the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Goal of Matchweek 3 thanks to his long range curler against Sporting KC II.
Mikinaās goal took place in the closing minutes of the match, with his side up one goal in the contest. The CITY2 captain received a pass from Matteo Kidd near the top of the 18-yard box and, with plenty of space, fired a shot toward the upper-left corner of the SKC II goal.
Mikinaās goal sealed the game for St. Louis and earned them a 2-0 victory.
Other Goal of Matchweek 3 nominees included Houston Dynamo 2ās Exon Arzu, Colorado Rapids 2 Sam Bassett and Atlanta United 2ās Rodrigo Neri.
The 23-year-old Canadian has anchored the CITY2 defense in 2025 and played a key role in the teamās four consecutive clean sheets to start the season.
St Louis CITY2 will look to keep their undefeated streak alive when they host Colorado Rapids 2 on April 6th at Energizer Park.
