Huntsville City FC Draws 0-0 with Carolina Core FC, Takes Extra Point in Shootout 

(May 10, 2025) – Huntsville City FC earned a hard-fought 0-0 draw on the road against Carolina Core FC on Saturday night, securing the extra point in the post-match shootout. The Boys in Blue battled through adversity and came away with a valuable result away from home.

The match saw strong defensive efforts from both sides, with few clear chances breaking through. Koffi received a yellow card in the 37th minute and was later shown a red in the second half, forcing Huntsville to finish the match with ten men. Ethan O’Brien and Rodriguez also picked up yellow cards in the 63rd and 65th minutes, respectively.

Gunnar Studenhofft was forced off due to injury in the first half, and the match featured minimal stoppage time in the first half (1 minute) and six minutes added in the second.

Despite the physical battle, Huntsville showed composure from the spot, converting all three shootout attempts and keeping Carolina off the board to earn the extra point.
