Huntsville, Ala. (March 30, 2024) āĀ Huntsville City Football Club fell 4-3 against Columbus Crew 2 at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium despite Midfielder Jony BolaƱos' second hat trick in club history.
The visitors got on the board first with a Christopher Rogers header from a corner kick in the eighthĀ minute, and Brent Adu-Gyamfi doubled the lead three minutes later.Ā
Huntsville got on the board late in the first half, when BolaƱos received Joel Sangwaās long ball and fired his shot into the far corner for his first goal of the season. Watch BolaƱosā first goalĀ here.
Bolaños equalized the match from the spot after he was fouled in the box in the 50th minute. Watch his second goal here.
Former Boy in Blue Chris Pearson gave Columbus back the lead from the spot in the 56thĀ minute, but BolaƱos completed his hat trick two minutes later after Brennan Creekās pass found him and he beat the keeper to the opposite corner. Watch his third goalĀ here.
Mohamed Saad gave Columbus the winning goal in the 68thĀ minute.
