HIGH POINT, NC (July 15, 2024) - Carolina Core FC, an independent club in MLS NEXT Pro, is proud to announce our four recipients of our Player of the Month presented by Bibey Machine & Fabrication Co.
This award recognizes the outstanding high school women's soccer players from March, April, May, and the Postseason during the 2024 calendar year.
The Player of the Month recipient for March is Northwest Guilford High School rising senior Morgan Stallings. During the season, Stallings registered 28 goals and 10 assists to lead her team. Morgan plays for local club team U19 NC Fusion in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL). Following this past season, Stallings was also named to the North Carolina 4A All-State team. The rising junior is committed to playing soccer at Appalachian State University upon graduating from high school.
The Player of the Month recipient for April is West Forsyth High School junior Aislynn Maguire. During the season, Maguire registered 32 goals and nine assists to lead her team. Aislynn currently plays for the NC Fusion ECNL and has previously played for the NC Fusion senior team. Competing in the USL-W league, Maguire made seven appearances for Fusion, registering one goal. The rising senior is committed to playing soccer at Wake Forest University upon graduating from high school.
The Player of the Month recipient for May is Forsyth Country Day School rising junior Hailey Jones. Hailey currently plays for the 2007 NC Fusion ECNL. Following this past season, Grimes was voted to the North Carolina 3A All-State and named the 2024 Mid-State 3A Conference Offensive Player of the Year. During the season, Jones registered 32 goals and nine assists to lead Forsyth Country Day School.
The Postseason Player of the Month recipient is Atkins High School rising senior Charlise Grimes. Charlise currently plays for the 2007 NC Fusion ECNL for her club team, also being named to the ECNL All-Conference team. Following this season, Grimes was named First Team All-State, All-Region, All-Area, All-Conference, and All-County. During the season, Grimes registered 49 goals and 13 assists to lead Atkins High School.
