With a goal on Saturday night, midfielder Facundo Canete tallied his 10th goal of the MLS NEXT Pro season. The Argentinian scored with a penalty kick following a foul on wingback Carlos Mario Diaz. Canete would also notch an assist in Saturday night’s match, assisting Jacob Evans, to put the 24-year-old at the top of the team in both goals and assists. Canete is currently tied seventh in MLSNP for goals, in addition to being third in the league for assists.
Captain Evans Strikes Again
Jacob Evans would strike again on Saturday night, scoring his eighth goal of the MLS NEXT Pro season in sensational fashion. Following a pass from midfielder Facundo Canete, Evans cut inside with his right foot and curled a swirling strike into the back of the net, clipping the bottom of the crossbar in the process.
