HIGH POINT, N.C. (January 22, 2024) - Carolina Core FC today announced that the club has signed defender Cristian Gregoire to a contract for the 2024 season.
Gregoire, 18, joins the club after spending the previous season with the Barcelona Academy in Arizona. The Michigan native looks to continue his development with Carolina Core FC in its inaugural season.
“Having seen Cristian play several times for the Barca Academy in Arizona, we are pleased to add this talented young player to our Carolina Core family,” said Head Scout Andy Williams. “He will add quality and flexibility to our backline.”
The Duluth, Georgia, local hopes to make an instant impact and bring his competitive fire to the squad. Gregoire is a notable addition, mainly for his composure on the ball and ability to make timely decisions while serving as a defensive leader.
“Cristian has a high ceiling for growth and development and has all the tools to be a quality defender in MLS Next Pro.” remarked Williams
