HIGH POINT, N.C. (March 8, 2024) - Carolina Core FC today announced that the club has signed defender JP Rodriguez to a contract for the 2024 season.
Rodriguez, 21, joins the club after spending the previous season with the Club Atletico Lanus in Argentina. The native Argentine looks to forward his development with Carolina Core FC in its inaugural season.
“JP comes from Argentina and can play as a left center back,” said Head Coach Roy Lassiter. “He’s great on the ball and sees the game very well from the defense. He also has great technical ability and precision on his long balls.”
The San Juan local joins CCFC, in its inaugural season, hoping to make an instant contribution. Rodriguez is very skilled with a high level of ability to read and anticipate the game.
“We feel he’ll be an exciting player to watch from the back line and we look forward to seeing his development with the team,” remarked Lassiter.
